Online training platform Sam increases safety awareness Boskalis employees

Boskalis Subsea Services offers subsea inspection, repairs and maintenance services to offshore installations, quays and vessels. Using the online platform Sam, Boskalis Subsea Services introduces new innovative technologies to maintain the knowledge and security awareness of its employees.

Sam is a new online platform with 10-minute training in the field of safety and professional competences in high-risk industries. Sam was developed in 2016 by Malmberg, iTanks and TNO. Boskalis Subsea Services has been involved as a pilot client in the online platform. The official kickoff of the cooperation was celebrated in june at the RDM Campus in Rotterdam.

The Boskalis team get to work with Sam on iPads. They can create a package of over 60 training sessions, toolboxes and games. The offer of training courses is expanded and translated into common languages in consultation with the market. Sam guides Boskalis and other clients with training, monthly feedback on progress and an integrated plan for rollout and follow-up training.
