Monobase, Jules Dock, Marin and ECN presented projects at Matchmaking Day TKI Wind op Zee
Four partners of Offshore Wind Innovators presented their finished or upcoming projects during the TKI Wind op Zee Matchmaking day on February 14. Over 65 members joined the morning session
Monobase’s Geert Jan Hoek shared its design of a self-installing integrated gravity base foundation and turbine system, making a point of the lack of financial support during the demonstration phase, above TRL 6. Jelmer de Lange of Jules Dock elaborated on the composite C tower and the integral design of this light weight tower. At the WMC test site the prototype managed to withstand the load tests. Looking at all the questions, the audience was eager to hear more about this innovation.
In addition Marin presented two new Join Industry Projects: the Cable JIP for floating wind turbines and the Offshore Maintenance JIP II. For both JIPs, new partners are welcome. ECN talked about vortex wake models in wind turbine design, wind turbine brain and large offshore wind harmonics mitigation projects.
Two other offshore wind test locations gave more details on the finished projects micromechanics based modeling and condition monitoring of rotor blade (MIMIC) (WMC) and the subsea chain cutter (Deltares)
