Prior Group sets up offshore wind service in Vlissingen

Green Blue Offshore Terminal, an initiative of the Prior Group, is opening a new terminal in the port of Vlissingen, the Netherlands, to offer services to companies active in offshore wind.

The new terminal will offer services during the construction, modification, repair and, maintenance activities, and not only serve as a place for the storage of equipment, materials, and offshore modules, the Prior Group said.

Due to an increase of activities, the extra workspace was found at the Estlandweg in Vlissingen – Oost. Also, the increasing interest from national and international marine and offshore companies choosing for the port of Vlissingen made it an important factor for Green Blue Offshore Terminal to establish the terminal in Vlissingen.

The Terminal offers 22.000m2 of workspace and a manufacturing hall of 125 x35 x15m.

Bram van Stel, Prior Group: “Initiatives often die in silence because of insufficient regional capacity in the form of temporary workers or work space. This usually concerns: technical, co-supporting solutions related to technical demands. For this reason, a number of regionally operating companies are working together offering a solution as in a total package.”
